Mrs. Patrice Campbell, the founder of Building Bridges, has significantly contributed to her community through her dedication and tireless efforts. With the love, encouragement, and support of her husband David Campbell, she established Building Bridges as a 501(c)3 organization in 2020. She formed a diverse and experienced Board of Directors from various fields like Business Management, Education, Human Resources, Clergy, Finance, Operations, and Behavioral Health to create a foundation of talent, needed to represent the interests of those who seek the services of Building Bridges.
Unfortunately, in August 2022, Patrice’s husband passed away shortly following the opening of their first location (March 2022). While brief, he was able to witness the seeds being planted of good work and commitment to the community. For others, this may have put an abrupt halt to continuing on with the dreams and plans they shared. However, this became a key motivation, to ensure the dreams they shared would be accomplished.
Anchored in determination and armed with much faith, Patrice and her children, with the support of family and friends, committed their time and efforts, to doing the hard work needed to continue growing services offered. Determined to make a difference, and now a widow raising two children, Patrice was committed to making a significant and needed impact on the lives of those in our community. Her strategic leadership has been vital in shaping the organization's vision and expanding its reach. Under her leadership, Building Bridges has made a tangible impact on the community. This includes aiding disadvantaged children, parents, and homeless individuals, and forming crucial partnerships with local departments and organizations to deliver essential programs and services.
